Rusty, Dusty and Nipper were the Prairie
Dog Triplets. They were small animals with squirrel like faces. Their ears were tiny. Their fur was soft. Black tips decorated
their short black tales.
Rusty was reddish brown like a nail left out in the rain. He was the largest of the three.
He thought surely, he was the strongest and bravest.
Dusty’s gray coat always looked like she had rolled in the dust
and gotten all dirty. She was the middle-sized pup.
